Welcome to the Big Bear Adult Hockey League (BBAHL)
The Big Bear Adult Hockey League, hosted at Big Bear Ice Arena, is Denver’s top destination for adult hockey. We are built on the core values of sportsmanship, competition, and camaraderie, offering a great hockey experience for players of all skill levels.
Our league follows USA Hockey rules along with our own House Rules to promote a safe, respectful environment for players, officials, staff, and spectators. We take a firm stance against violence, hate, and racism, creating a community where fair play, respect, and a true love for the game thrive — both on and off the ice.
Fall/Winter-25/26 Season Information and Start Dates
Fall/Winter-25/26 Season Information:
- D2 Monday/Wednesday League: Starts September 8, 2025
- D4 Tuesday/Thursday League: Starts September 9, 2025
- D1 Saturday League: Starts September 13, 2025
- D3 Sunday League: Starts September 14, 2025
Each league will feature 20 round-robin games, followed by exciting double-elimination playoffs.
Registration Information:
To register for the BBAHL, select your league and team online. If you wish to play with friends, all players must register for the same team. Teams are capped at 15 skaters and 1 goalie.
If you would like to add additional players beyond the limit, please email info@bigbearice.com with your request.

The Big Bear Adult Hockey League is open to participants ages 18 and over.

WHERE
All games of the Big Bear Adult Hockey League will be held at the Big Bear Ice Arena, located at 8580 East Lowry Blvd, Denver, CO 80230.
DIVISION SKILL GUIDE
D1 – Players typically have higher-level experience, including AA, A, competitive house leagues, or advanced adult league play.
D2 – Players generally have prior experience in A-level, house leagues, or adult leagues.
D3 – Players primarily have recreational or adult league experience, with moderate skill development.
D4 – Players are newer or have limited experience, primarily from recreational or lower-level adult league play.

PLAYOFF ELIGIBILITY
In order to be eligible for playoff games, players must have played in at least 5 regular season games for Fall/Winter-25/26.
SUBS
The BBAHL will not be allowing ‘pay-to-play’ sub players in the Fall/Winter-25/26 season.
REFUND POLICY
Big Bear Ice Arena follows a STRICT NO REFUND POLICY.
We understand that things may come up and your plans may change, however, we must build our leagues based on the number of teams and players registered. Once a player makes their registration payment, a spot is reserved for that player. If, for any reason, a player is unable to participate in the league, no refund will be given.
If a player is removed from the league due to poor on or off ice conduct, NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED.
If you cannot be placed on a team, or if the full league season is canceled, the full registration fee will be refunded. In the event of partial season cancelation, a prorated registration fee will be refunded.
